Judgement and Mercy

I cannot hide from this temptation, I cannot sleep until its gone, There is no sanctuary from this sin.

I cannot hide from your judgement, I cannot sleep with this inside, There is no sanctuary from your hand.

I cannot hide from your mercy, You give me rest from my sorrows, Your grace is my only sanctuary.

This burden wraps me in darkness, I am murdered by my own hand, My loneliness keeps me isolated.

Your judgement weighs down upon me, Your eyes consider me deceased. There is nothing I can do to save me.

Your mercy finds me in the dark, It brings me back from the darkness, It tells me life is not beyond your reach.

I wrestle with these demons still, I pray but they still call to me, The end is still too far for me to see.

Judgement condemning every time, You will still judge me for my crimes, I am accountable to all my sins.

Unfailing mercy gives me hope, that your strength will help win this fight, Your mercy continues to save me still.

about a.c.j.

A.C.J. has always seen the world a little different from those around her. She loves her God deeply, and refuses to stop believing in magic. Her imagination and sense of adventure run wild on most days, and when she is not creating, she is asleep in a bed overrun with far too many pillows. She is a word-smith, a wanderer of cities, and overly enthusiastic about ducks.
